MAMA IS MORE THAN JUST MAMA BUCKS…

MAMA sponsors promotions and events, advertises and markets Montrose regionally, offers funding programs and merchant training, and serves as a resource for Montrose businesses in order to sustain a thriving business community.

The Montrose Area Merchants Association (MAMA) is dedicated to promoting the Montrose trade area with the goal of increasing sales revenues.  MAMA has a Service Contract with the City of Montrose to provide retail enhancement services and is funded through the city Vendor Fee.  MAMA’s membership is inclusive and automatic, representing all city sales tax licensees.

MAMA is participating in the economic development restructuring process with the City of Montrose, Montrose Chamber of Commerce, Montrose Economic Development Corporation, and Visitors & Convention Bureau.  The MAMA Corporation and programs are in transition during the restructuring process.  We are able to provide only limited services at this time, as directed by our Service Contract with the City of Montrose.  We will provide updates during the process as they become available.  You may view the consultants report here.  The Agreement between the City of Montrose and the Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to be approved by City Council on February 18, 2010.
